Slocan Projects
Sandon Location: 50 km northwest of Nelson, British Columbia.

Ownership: 100% of the Sandon Mining Complex and related properties.

Minerals: Silver, with associated lead and zinc.

Overview: The Slocan Mining District has produced more than 24 million ounces of silver since the first discoveries in the late 1800s transformed this scenic wilderness into the silver-mining center of Western Canada. Klondike Silver is now the dominant land-holder and controls 75% of the camp. Along with the 100-tonne-per-day fully permitted flotation mill in historic Sandon, the Company owns the past-producing Silvana, Wonderful and Hinckley Mines, seven other dormant mines and extensive exploration properties. This land package has seen little modern exploration because of the previous fragmented ownership of the claims and the presence of overburden.
  • Rehabilitation of the Silvana and Wonderful Mines, both located within five kilometers of the Sandon Mill, has exposed silver-lead-zinc vein systems that are now the focus on ongoing exploration and development programs.
  • Klondike Silver has obtained a Mine Permit to rehabilitate the nearby Hinckley silver-lead-zinc property and is conducting an underground program to test for extensions and offsets of the previously mined Hinckley vein system, and a second parallel vein system identified from a review of historic data.
  • The fully permitted 100-tonne-per-day Sandon Mill --- the cornerstone of the recently opened Sandon Mining Complex --- allows the Company to conduct test-mining and bulk-sampling programs for nearby mines and other advanced-stage projects. The cash flow generated from these activities will be used to offset the costs of ongoing exploration and mine development.
Geology: Mines in the Slocan district exploited steeply dipping silver-lead-zinc veins and silver-lead-zinc replacement deposits hosted in limestone of the Slocan Group.

Next Steps: Ongoing exploration programs will use advanced geophysical, geochemical and other modern exploration techniques to explore for extensions of known near-surface veins and new vein-hosted targets obscured by overburden.
